The Special Advisor on Science and Technology to the U.S. Secretary of State and author of “Mendel in the Kitchen: A Scientist’s View of Genetically Modified Foods”, Dr. Nina Fedoroff, will describe the development of genetically modified (GM) plants, the incorporation of important new traits into crop plants and the remarkably strong safety record of these GM crops in over 15 years of use by farmers and consumers around the world.
