Lack of data and complex sources of uncertainty present challenges for both climate change and food safety policy separately. Their coupling makes it significantly more difficult to provide decision makers with the information they need to set effective policy priorities. This talk identifies strategies for addressing three key methodological challenges for policy analysis: attribution of foodborne disease to climate change; integrated behavior/climate modeling, and benefits valuation.policy both in the United States and internationally.
