Korea has achieved an impressive advancement in Science communication since 2002, when the number of students studying science and engineering dramatically declined. This social issue inspired people to reflect on the importance of a science culture and there has been many endeavours by government as well as private sectors for inducing more youth into ST field and enhancing public understanding of science and technology. In this paper, I will talk about the progress of science communication in Korea focusing on the activities of KORAC(Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity) under three key headings: laying solid foundation for connecting science and society, making more and active participation of science culture by diverse entities and narrowing the science culture divide b/t city and rural.
