Community-Scientist Partnerships: Bridging the Gap Between Communities and Science

Saturday, February 18, 2017: 9:00 AM-10:00 AM
Room 207 (Hynes Convention Center)
Scientific experts from all backgrounds can find ways to partner with communities and develop science-based solutions to real problems. In this workshop, attendees learn about different approaches to partnerships. In small groups, facilitators will lead discussions about how partnerships can allow your research to be used in new ways, and how to overcome institutional and communication challenges. Attendees will leave with practical resources on building effective partnerships and applying technical expertise toward societal good.
