Mouthwash is not a very common method of maintaining oral health because of the variety of opinions given by the public. Bacteria such a Staphylococcus areus, Bacillus subtillus, and Micrococcus luteus are found in oral regions are linked to oral cavities and were also found in the samples obtained. Oral samples were taken and bacteria were grown in an incubator to determine the effectiveness of Listerine Mouthwash. Although mouthwash claims to be 99.9% effective, the results have showed that it is not because bacterial growth did not decrease in size after the antibiotic was used .
