Advancing Women in Science: An International Perspective

This talk is based on a book of the same title. Key principles of policy design and evaluation in cross-national perspective will be discussed. Grounded in social science methods and research literature, the talk will look across scientific disciplines to illustrate the importance of robust data to evaluate policies and programs for gender equity. The talk will conclude with recent policies that attempt to account for the role of intersectionality on women’s advancement in science.
