The science of ecosystem services is advancing rapidly, but serious gaps remain that impede the ability of decision-makers to use this information effectively. Drawing on a decade of work with the Natural Capital Project, Taylor will summarize the state of the science, describe examples of success and failure, present the first attempts to quantify policy impact, and propose several ways to better connect science to decisions.
