Cannabis Pharmacovigilance: Lessons From a Living Laboratory

Cannabis is increasingly available worldwide under an array of regulatory frameworks for medical and recreational purposes. The paucity of clinical trial data and lack of product standards make clinical decision making challenging. The use of large scale patient registries will be discussed as a strategy toward better understanding real-world use of cannabis for medical purposes. Strengths and limitations will be reviewed with a view to harnessing this approach towards better clinical evidence.
