What Changing News Mean for the Practice of Science Communication

Rapidly changing news environments have created new realities for science communication. Scientists have long relied on journalists to help them connect with non-expert audiences. With the number of traditional science outlets dwindling, and tailored news and narrowcasting on the rise, this talk will explore what we know empirically about new channels and approaches that will help scientists communicate science in novel ways and capitalize on the opportunities of new information environments.
