Cryptography has made amazing contributions to many areas, including the integrity of elections and the banking system, and national security. Modern cryptography combines clever ideas from mathematics and computer science. We will discuss some ways in which cryptographers, mathematicians, and computer scientists are contributing both scientifically and on policy.
