The large income-related gap in reading develops from the early gap in children’s vocabulary. To prevent these gaps we need interventions that utilize community partners to reach and engage low-income parents of infants and toddlers. This talk presents results that highlight the importance of intervening early, utilizing community partners to reach target populations, and approaches that can help parents support children’s language learning at scale.
