Sunday, February 14, 2016: 10:30 AM-11:30 AM
Washington 1 (Marriott Wardman Park)
Public engagement with research has been a strong emerging theme in recent years. Effective engagement skills are now a key tool for researchers, particularly in an international context. This workshop explores some of the ways engagement can both improve communication skills and develop and inform research questions. This workshop is interactive: the audience is invited to participate in considering where engagement skills can contribute to their career, and to discuss case studies on the importance and potential of engagement in both global and local contexts.
