The LinGO Grammar Matrix project is creating a cross-linguistic implemented grammar resource. This resource concerns morphology, syntax and compositional semantics, and includes a cross-linguistic core grammar as well as a series of `libraries' of analyses for cross-linguistically variable phenomena. This presentation concerns the ways in which this resource and its development can be used to explore the ways in which languages vary and the ways in which they are the same.
