Dr. Gan will present studies that investigate studies that investigate how sleep, sensory and learning experiences lead to changes in synaptic connectivity in the living mouse brain. By following synapses and neuronal activity at the level of individual synapses over days and weeks, these studies allows in real time to understand synapse dynamics in the central nervous system in real time in response to learning, and their relevance for memory formation and processing.
