GeoJournalism combines environmental data with the use of new data collection and visualization tools, interactive maps and traditional story-telling to create innovative digital platforms that highlight ecologically important regions. These sites facilitate access to information sources, aggregates stories from across networks, and distribute content. Based on the initial experience of InfoAmazonia.org, there are platforms in Indonesia, South Asia, Kenya, South Africa, the Chaco and the Mekong.
