The development of self-healing concrete materials can open a new world of opportunities for improving infrastructure resilience under service loading conditions. The self-healing process should be robust as well as repeatable, allowing for self-repair after multiple damage events. This talk focuses on a new generation of self-healing concrete materials designed at the nano-structure and micro-structure levels with the goal of robust, pervasive, stable and repeatable self-healing.
