TED-Ed: Telling and Teaching Your Story through Animation

Sunday, 15 February 2015: 2:15 PM-3:15 PM
Room 212 (San Jose Convention Center)
TED-Ed builds on the TED brand by teaming up researchers with animators to create engaging animations about cutting-edge science, and it does much more. Each TED-Ed animation is accompanied by learning materials that can be adapted by educators into customized lessons. Distributed through the TED website and on social media, TED-Ed animations are viewed hundreds of thousands of times and used in science lessons around the world. This workshop brings together animators and scientists who have successfully collaborated on TED-Ed animations and aims to equip researchers with the skills they need to become TED-Ed storytellers themselves, getting their messages into the classroom in a modern and innovative way.
