Different global social-ecological domains share distinct sets of interventions for biodiversity-based agriculture and ecological intensification that could increase food security in impoverished landscapes. It is suggested that indicators of knowledge systems need to inform the ecological monitoring of intensification and inventories of assets at the landscape level can inform adaptive management of agrobiodiversity-based interventions.
