Dr. Mulligan have engaged in multi-year research to investigate privacy "on the ground"—how privacy protection actually works in corporations, and the legal, social and other pressures that define the privacy requirements firms must meet—in the U.S. and Europe. In her talk, she will discuss her findings and questions such as, how should privacy be operationalized in companies? how privacy officers/professionals can embed a value as complicated as privacy into a complex organization? And, how does the law impact these questions?
