The Psychiatric and Neurocognitive Effects of Cannabis

Dr. Igor Grant will summarize clinical research on the major categories of neuropsychiatric effects of cannabis, including short and longer-term neurocognitive and other mental effects. He will provide a critical analysis of data on long-term neuromedical harms, including limitations of existing research. The importance of separating discussion on medical indications and risks from broader discourse on social policy on nonmedical use will be emphasized.
