Within the last 15 years or so, the digital revolution has changed how the public accesses real data about our planet. However, much of those data are unintelligible to the public. Science centers and research labs serve an important function as data interpreters. The Lawrence Hall of Science is developing a model and platform for connecting with local scientists and their data to create relevant stories to give the public deeper conceptual explanations and a global context.
