Learning Data Science as an Integral Part of Learning Science

How do we make data immersion and discovery a routine part of science learning? Part of the answer must be ubiquitous access to data and data tools—the mission of the Common Online Data Analysis Platform (CODAP) project. But, more profoundly, how do we change the role data plays in learning from illustration to medium? We will show that providing frequent opportunities for learning data science in the context of learning science has become an important responsibility of all science educators.
