Old Weather: Studying Historical Weather Patterns with Ship Logbooks

Kevin Wood will introduce Old Weather, which seeks to gather and study information from ship's logs as a means of better understanding historical weather patterns worldwide. He will describe his efforts to extract Arctic weather and sea ice information from ship logbooks dating from the mid-19th century.
