Crowdsourcing sites like Amazon's Mechanical Turk are transforming social science by allowing researchers to conduct behavioral experiments in "virtual labs" on a scale and speed that would have been hard to imagine a decade ago. I then discuss how this new technology may unfold in the near future, along with some implications for social and behavioral science.
