When stem cell therapies are delivered to a patient their quality determines potential hazards for a patient. To address the quality and completeness problems, experimental systems for imaging and analyzing human pluripotent stem cell cultures have been explored at unprecedented spatial and temporal coverage of colonies. This talk will present the computational challenges and approaches to knowledge discovery from terabyte-sized images. In addition, the challenges of Interactive measurements over terabyte-sized images will be addressed using cluster computing and Deep Zoom visualization.
