Functional and Molecular Imaging of the Brain in Pain

Dr Linnman will present some of the latest developments in brain imaging of chronic pain, including ultra-high resolution functional imaging, and combined PET-MRI of brain function, brain chemistry and brain inflammation.  These measurements give a more complete picture of how pain changes the brain, allowing us to quantify the pain experience and identify new potential treatment targets.
