Proteins are the main products of genes, and the molecular complexity of humans is governed by when and where proteins are produced in the body. In this presentation, we will discuss how the millions of high-resolution protein expression images available in the Human Protein Atlas can be used to visualize the spatial distribution of proteins in normal human tissues and different cancer types and how this aids in understanding basic biology as well as disease.
