The Diversification of Migration: Visualization Across Scales

Steven Vertovec's research interests surround international migration, ethnic diversity and multiculturalism. He is presently investigating social and spatial patterns of the use of public spaces under conditions of diversifying populations in Johannesburg, New York, and Singapore. He will present innovative data visualizations at different scales and explain how he and his group push forward modes of social scientific analysis.
