Aligned Ambitions: What's Driving College Mismatch?

Every year over 150,000 low-income and minority high school graduates enroll in postsecondary institutions that are less selective than their abilities and aspirations predict. Why does this occur? How can this be changed? Results after four years of a whole-high school quasi-experimental intervention designed to assist students in fulfilling their ambitions demonstrate that there are concrete strategies that alter college plans and enrollment with the potential for a national level scale-up.
