Studying Human Microbiome: From Metagenomic Systems Biology to Meta-Omic Analysis

Friday, 13 February 2015: 3:00 PM-4:30 PM

This talk will highlight the pressing need for the development of predictive system-level models of the microbiome and will discuss potential computational frameworks for metagenomic-based modeling of this microbial system. In particular, we will demonstrate the use of network-based and constraint-based models to study various aspects of the microbiome, predicting both microbe-microbe and microbe-host interactions.
