The dramatic collapse of the Larsen Ice Shelf System was a response to regional warming which has affected both the ice shelf directly and fully terrestrial glaciers indirectly, via the loss of ice shelf buttressing. A decade following the demise of the Larsen B shelf significant changes are still taking place across the eastern side of the Antarctic Peninsula.
