Present Capabilities and Future Prospects for Bio-Surveillance Diagnostics

New bio-analytical technologies are being developed that are both rapid and highly sensitive. These technologies can be deployed in the field and throughout the public health care system to detect a multitude of infectious agents. The present capabilities and future prospects for using these technologies for bio-surveillance will be discussed.
