Role, Goals and Measures for Afterschool STEM

Faced with the task to rally an entire community around its objectives for STEM, the Afterschool Alliance engaged in a research study to unearth the role and goals for STEM education in afterschool settings, and developed a framework for outcomes and indicators of learning that can be the basis for new measures and assessments of learning in these spaces. Dr. Krishnamurthi will provide an overview of the results and discuss implications for research and practice.
