She is author of numerous articles focused on women (incl. a 2012 PNAS article on gender bias), and former President of the Rosalind Franklin Society (RFS). RFS, an international society, recognizes, fosters, and advances the important contributions of women. The Society works to enable women to achieve more tenure-track appointments and leadership positions. Handelsman will describe lessons learned, best practices, and effective ways to get women the roles and recognition they deserve.
