Grand Ballroom A (Hyatt Regency Chicago)
The City of the Future will be a high-performance machine, equally incorporating habitability, technological functionality and aesthetics. Cities will be intimately connected to each other, rendering the world a collective living space for all, in which continents are only hours apart. New infrastructural devices will greatly influence the development of the future city. Globalization’s blurring of local differences will be counteracted by the immediacy of access to formerly dispersed ecologies.
