Key Public Opinion Findings from the NSB's Science and Engineering Indicators 2014

The presentation will feature highlights from the Science and Engineering Indicators 2014 chapter on “public attitudes and understanding.” This will include a focus on the 2012 General Social Survey (GSS) data on public S&T interest and engagement, knowledge about facts and processes, and funding support. It also will also address confidence in S&T community leaders, and views about science and engineering occupations. A number of international comparisons will be made.
