Room 205 (Hynes Convention Center)
At this workshop, NSF will issue a challenge to graduate students to tell NSF how graduate education in science and engineering can be improved. How do we maintain US excellence in S&E graduate education? How can we best prepare S&E graduate students for their careers? How should graduate education evolve in a world where old borders among disciplines, institutions and nations are dissolving? This will be a dynamic forum for students, faculty, researchers and NSF leaders to discuss new ideas for improving graduate education in the 21st century. We will also share the winning videos from a contest that asked current Graduate Research Fellows to tell us how their work is creating the future for them, their field or their world.
