Grant Savvy for Early Career Faculty

Friday, February 15, 2013: 8:00 AM-9:00 AM
Room 209 (Hynes Convention Center)
New faculty are under more pressure than ever to bring in grants, yet federal funding for scientific research remains flat. Your doctoral program taught you the science you need to write a good proposal. Now learn the grant development strategies that will help you work smarter, not harder. In this workshop, you will learn: how to target the grant programs that best fit your work; how to write a proposal that responds clearly to the application guidelines; how to find such useful tools as copies of funded proposals and agency proposal-writing guides; and how to develop your own skills as a grant writer through grant reviewing.
