Friday, February 15, 2013: 9:15 AM-10:15 AM
Room 209 (Hynes Convention Center)
Networking is the only way to access the “hidden job market,” those jobs that are never posted, or that are already filled by the time you see the posting. Informational interviewing is your entrée into networking. As you meet with and ask advice of people working in your field of interest, you will uncover great job opportunities. In this interactive workshop, you will learn about informational interviewing and observe two mock informational interviews. You will learn how to give back to individuals advising you and maintain these important professional relationships. The workshop will demystify this essential networking process and give you practical tips on how to get out there and network your way into a fabulous job.
