Training grant principal investigators must go beyond the bench to become leaders in the production and mentoring of the next generation of scientific researchers. This session identifies the leadership skills and knowledge required to design and administer a successful training grant program. Session attendees will leave with the knowledge of how to locate funding sources, stay current on pertinent literature, obtain both institutional and national data, recruit students, track student participation, and evaluate training program success.
