Han Cao founded BioNano Genomics on the basis of an invention drawing on multiple streams of technology. Dr. Cao is co-inventor of single-molecule level nanochannel based linear genome analysis technology that holds enormous promise for life science research, clinical diagnostics and new therapeutics. This technology breakthrough enables direct analysis of intact long range genomic regions from minute biological samples that was previously impossible, impractical or too expensive. Dr. Cao will discuss his experience in developing and commercializing bionano innovations.
