Robert Langer will draw on his extensive experience in research at the interface of biotechnology and nanomaterials. Dr. Langer, an Institute Professor at MIT, has become the most prolific inventor since Edison, with more than 800 issued or pending patents worldwide. His patents have been licensed or sublicensed to over 220 pharmaceutical, chemical, biotechnology and medical device companies. He is the most cited engineer in history. A number of technology ventures have been launched with technology from his lab. Dr. Langer will discuss the development and commercialization of his biomedical innovations and his R&D management processes.
