Advances in mobile devices, wireless networks, robots, sensors and actuators, software services, data analytics, cloud computing, and social media are behind the conveniences we take for granted. They also have had an impact on all other sectors, from healthcare to energy, transportation, agriculture, education, law, engineering, science, and the humanities.
