This talk will introduce the audience to neutrino production and detection. It will discuss potential uses for neutrinos presently under study -- in particular the use of neutrinos for reactor monitoring (Neutrinos for Peace). In keeping with the overall theme of the AAAS meeting, it will also highlight the beauty of neutrino detectors.
