Motion sickness is a syndrome of nausea and vomiting, pallor, sweating, headache, dizziness, malaise, increased salivation, apathy, drowsiness, belching, hyperventilation, and stomach awareness.
Motion sickness can be caused by a variety of motion environments(e.g., cars, boats, planes, tilting, trains, funfair, rides, space, virtualreality)and given a sufficiently provocative motion stimulus almost anyone with a functioning vestibular system can be made motion sick.
The purpose of this study was to investigate a short Motion sickness susceptibility questionnaires (MSSQ) for Japanese version. There were 260 people (male:118,female:114) answered that how to retained motion types (cars, boats, planes, trains, funfair rides, etc.);correction for motion type exposure;sickness severity weightings;childhood versus adult experiences.
It was 72.7% Motion sickness experience under 12years old by cars. It was decreased that 58.5% in adult age. It was observed that motion sickness was major effected male (49.2%) than female (66.2%).
It was difficult to over come in motion sickness through aging and motor ride experienced. In conclusion, it removes the considerable barriers to psychologists for future survey research of individual differences in a basic property of the central nervous system.
