Career-enhancing opportunities are available in about 30 U.S. Congressional offices and 15 federal agencies. Through the AAAS Science and Technology Policy Fellowships, more than 2,000 scientists and engineers have contributed their analytical skills to policy-making while learning about the role of science in the federal government system.
