Canada's Strategy for Patient-Oriented Research and Personalized Medicine

An overview of the Strategy for Patient-Oriented Research for Canada will be presented, describing the evolution of the Strategy as well as the current Canadian context as it relates to patient-oriented research. CIHR’s new Signature Initiative on Personalized Medicine will also be presented. This initiative will support translational research for the effective prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disease, as well as the integration of personalized medicine tools into the health care system.
