New ICT technologies are broadly accepted by everyone as part of their lives. Sometimes these technologies facilitate our daily routines. This may not be true for people with special needs. The presentation illustrates recent technological developments and research carried out in the field of ICTs, endeavoring to meet the needs of a growing elderly population and disabled people.
