Dr. Danny Reible will discuss water use and water disposal in the hydraulic fracturing process, with particular focus on the fate and transport of contaminants. Dr. Reible also will present an overview of research on effective measures for risk mitigation in oil and gas development, including hydraulic fracturing and horizontal drilling in shale formations.
