Biomethane production from glycerol discharged after biodiesel manufacturing was studied in laboratory-scale reactor at thermophilic temperature. The biodiesel wastes was added to the aqueous phase containing nitrogen produced by mesophilic methane fermentaion of kitchen garbage and then the solution was done thermophilic anaerobic digestion. The yield of methane increased in proportion to adding the biodiesel wastes ( to 5.5%), but more adding of the biodiesel wastes (6% to 7%) was not effectively. These results suggest that thermophilic anaerobic digestion of the biodiesel wastes is useful for the production of biomethane.
